College will be constructed at a cost of about 498 crores: Let us inform that at present, the cost of construction of Medical College at Bela in Jamui is estimated to be Rs 498 crore. The responsibility of construction work has been given to Kunal Construction Limited Company of Gujarat. Whereas, the work is to be executed under the supervision of BMSICL.

College will be built on 20 acres of land: Let us tell you that the government had decided to build a medical college between about three districts. Then the District Magistrate was instructed to select the land for the medical college in Jamui comprising Munger, Banka and Jamui. After examining several places, a 20-acre plot was selected for college construction in Bela Mauja under Khaira block. However, there is more than 40 acres of government land there.
