At the same time, from the check post, Dobhi to raids in other areas of the district, from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning, a foreign liquor container vehicle with liquor worth about 70 lakh rupees has been caught. However, after seeing the smugglers checking campaign, a large consignment of liquor left the vehicle before the check post and fled.
Police recovered 41 bottles of foreign liquor after reaching the information of liquor kept in the garbage on the side of the road located on the outskirts of Rail Gumti, number one of Gaya Junction. It is being said that on Wednesday morning on the confidential information of liquor kept hidden in the garbage, the RPF and GRP team took action and recovered the bottles. All the liquor bottles have been handed over to the Kotwali police station. A case has also been registered against unknown.
585 cartons seized container vehicle laden with foreign liquor
Excise Assistant Commissioner Prem Prakash said that the action against liquor has been intensified. Especially the checking campaign is going on at the check post. Heavy raids were conducted on Tuesday night under the leadership of Inspector Deepak Kumar Singh of Integrated Check Post, Dobhi. On Wednesday morning, a container vehicle of Bengal number carrying 585 cartons (14520 bottles) of foreign liquor was caught.
Inspector Deepak Singh said that on Wednesday morning at around seven o’clock, information was received about a container standing before the check post for a long time. The container was taken into possession and waited for the arrival of the driver or owner of the vehicle. When the lock was opened after no one came for a long time, a huge consignment of foreign liquor came out.
Told that on seeing the vehicle checking and patrolling at the check post, the smugglers fled leaving a vehicle laden with 585 cartons (5220 liters) of liquor. An FIR has been registered and investigation is going on. SI Shailendra Kumar Azad, ASI Nago Lakra along with product constables and SAP jawans were involved in the campaign.
